Gleichmann Electronics expands its product portfolio with the GE O240128Z-TFH-R, a 4.2-inch COG (chip-on-glass) LCD module with a resolution of 240 x 128 pixels, under its own brand name "GE Vision". The LCD module is particularly easy to read thanks to a contrast ratio of 30:1.
The module, equipped with a ST7565P-G controller from Sitronix, is operated with 3 V supply voltage and specified for an extended industrial temperature range from -20°C to +70°C.
Initially, the module will be available in a transflective FSTN positive version with LED backlight. The lifetime of the six LEDs is 50000 hours and current consumption is 90 mA typical.
Fitted with a 36-pin FPC with approximately 50 mm length, the module will be available in sample quantities from stock from Gleichmann Electronics starting September 2009.
The GE-O240128Z-TFH-R complements GE Vision's GE-Oxxxx series, which is currently available in seven module sizes from 45.2 x 27.0 mm to 160 x 109 mm. The COG LCD modules, offered with resolutions from 128 x 64 pixels to 320 x 240 pixels as well as 2 x 16 characters, feature a low height and are optionally available in FSTN positive, STN positive or STN negative versions.
