MTU Maintenance Hannover has been successful in adding a new airline from Australia to its growing customer base: V Australia will send its fleet of GE90 Growth engines powering its Boeing five 777-300ER fleet to Hanover for maintenance. The carrier, a subsidiary of the Virgin Australia group of airlines, has signed a long term agreement with the German engine MRO specialist.

Launched in 2009, V Australia operates from Australia to the United States and the United Arab Emirates with five Boeing 777-300ER aircraft-powered by GE90-115Bs.
