New CombiTac LCT06 coolant couplings for safe pneumatic and fluid transfer

The modular connector system

(PresseBox) (Allschwil, )
Single connectors for power, control and communication are more and more being replaced by hybrid solutions with more compact dimensions and improved performance. Stäubli's modular CombiTac system with its wide range of connector modules enables the configuration of individual interfaces. All necessary power, signal and data connections can be combined in a single connector using the modular system. Even pneumatic and fluid couplings can be integrated.

Stäubli Electrical Connectors has extended the existing CombiTac solutions portfolio by adding a new coolant coupling: LCT06. Thanks to its shorter stroke, the LCT06 is suitable for use in CombiTac DIN housing and panel mount applications for safe fluid and pneumatic transfer. It guarantees a steady and leak proof flow performance.

Both the LCT06 socket and plug couplers have a shut-off valve and can be combined with the existing single-pole and double-pole CombiTac carriers.

Advantages:
  • Long-life solution: up to 100’000 mating cycles
  • High safety and reliability: shut-off valve on both sides, double flush face (no spill)
  • Suitable for both housing and panel mount applications
The versatile modular systems are used in industrial automation and robotics, mechanical engineering, test applications, automated production lines, railway and transportation as well as in the automotive and medical industries. The patented MULTILAM contact technology guarantees minimal voltage drop and minimal contact resistance as well as very high resistance to vibration. This ensures a secure connection even with up to 100,000 mating cycles.
