Power supply for BUS systems and servo motors

Multi-Contact is expanding their range of Dockingline connectors with the FL3-Servo-Power, an ideal addition to the FL3 series.
Multi-Contact’s Dockingline includes a wide range of multi-pole connectors for multi-couplings, automatic tool-changers and docking systems with high mating cycles (500.000 to over 1 million). The FL3 series is characterized by a particularly flat design and small size, as well as a homogeneous housing design.

The new FL3-Servo-Power-6+PE is shielded and insulated and carries currents up to 16A. The rated voltage is 630V AC. Cables of cross sections 1,5 mm² to 2,5mm² can easily be connected by means of a terminal strip. The user friendly quick-change-system with interchangeable contact inserts is particularly relevant for the body construction in the car industry. Thus wear parts can easily be exchanged, enabling quick maintenance.

Typical fields of application include power supplies for BUS systems, where the increasing currents cannot be transmitted by the existing BUS connectors. Further, the FL3-Servo-Power is used for the power supply of servo motors. The connector is shielded on the outside and insulated against the docking plate or the tool-changer. That shield prevents the pulsed, highenergy currents from spreading into the grid. The insulation is necessary in order to avoid that different shields connect via the docking plate.
