The world’s first dual-rated DC 1500 V branch connector for photovoltaic systems

Extension to the Stäubli PV DC eBOS product portfolio

(PresseBox) (Allschwil, )
The market-leading photovoltaic connector portfolio of Stäubli extends with a new branch connector for 1500 V PV systems.

The new branch connector completes the MC4-Evo 2 product series as an important element extension to the DC 1500 V portfolio. Within the eBOS cabling solutions for PV systems its end use will enable combinations of two strings in parallel. Being the world’s first dual-rated DC 1500 V branch connector customers can use the identical product to serve UL and IEC markets. Furthermore, the Stäubli MC4-Evo 2 branch connector fits DC 1000 V and DC 1500 V applications. With its Original MC4 mating face this branch connector is intermateable with Stäubli’s Original MC4 and MC4-Evo 2 PV connectors and cable couplers.

Plug and play

The easy handling allows for simple, fast, and cost-efficient installation, as no crimping and torqueing are necessary during installation. Thanks to fixation points for cable ties, quick, correct, and carefree installation is granted. The very compact design fits easily in narrow cable raceways and its lightweight implies less strain on cables and mounting clips. With its ammonia resistance, IP68 conformity, and passed salt spray tests it is an extremely robust product ensuring reliable and long-lasting operation even in harsh application environments.
