USA: Anhaltende Nachfrage nach Solar-Steckverbindern

Stäubli eröffnet Werkserweiterung in den USA mit Produktionskapazitäten für Multi-Contact Steckverbinder für erneuerbare Energie

Stäubli hat den Erweiterungsbau am Standort Duncan im US-Bundesstaat South Carolina fertiggestellt. In Anwesenheit von Stäubli Group CEO Rolf Strebel, Stäubli Corporation CEO Yves Stäubli und Multi-Contact CEO Franco Delvecchio wurde das neue Gebäude mit einer feierlichen Zeremonie eröffnet.Um der anhaltenden Nachfrage im Bereich erneuerbare Energien gerecht zu werden, beherbergt das neue Gebäude die Produktion elektrischer Steckverbinder für die Konzerngesellschaft Multi-Contact. Dazu wird Stäubli die Montage von Roboter Werkzeugwechselsystemen sowie Schnellspannsystemen für die Plastikindustrie in Nordamerika weiter ausbauen, gefolgt von Schnellverschlusskupplungen für verschiedene Anwendungen. Erneuerbare Energien gewinnen weiter an Bedeutung. Die Nachfrage nach Photovoltaik-Modulen wird sich bis 2010 voraussichtlich verdreifachen. Mit dem Solarline Produktsortiment an Steckverbindern, Leitungen und Anschlussdosen bietet Multi-Contact flexible Lösungen für die zeitsparende Verkabelung von Solaranlagen. Die Steckverbinder haben im gesteckten Zustand Schutzart IP 67, sind berührungsgeschützt und wurden für Hochspannung und Hochstrom entwickelt.
