Die ESA European Space Agency wird in Kooperation mit der MunichExpo Veranstaltungs GmbH ihre „European Space Technology Transfer Conference 2007“, die am 16. und 17. Oktober im Rahmen der Fachmesse MATERIALICA (16. – 18. Oktober 2007) auf dem Gelände der Neuen Messe München stattfindet, ausrichten. „Wir haben uns bewusst für die MATERIALICA als Veranstaltungsort für unsere Konferenzpremiere entschieden, da die industrieorientierte MATERIALICA ein Commmunity-Treffpunkt für Entwickler, Konstrukteure und Designer in Europa ist. Dort treffen wir genau unsere Zielgruppe“, so Frank M. Salzgeber, Acting Head of Technology Transfer Programme Office, ESA European Space Agency. „Bis heute hat die ESA bereits über 200 Weltraum-Technologien in andere Branchen transferiert. Die Teilnehmer der Konferenz erhalten einen umfassenden Überblick über Erfolgsgeschichten und zukünftige Transferprojekte, z. B. für den Automobil-, Sport- oder Medizinbereich“, so Salzgeber weiter. Mit einer Standfläche ist die ESA und ihre Partner ebenfalls auf der MATERIALICA vertreten und präsentiert dort erstmals auf einer Fachmesse ihr umfassendes Technologie-Transfer-Programm. Die MATERIALICA erwartet in diesem Jahr rund 400 Aussteller aus den Bereichen Composites, Plastics, Metal Light, Keramik, Surface, Nano sowie Testing & Research. Unternehmen wie CarboTech, Deutsche Edelstahl, Hexcel, Isovolta oder SGL Carbon haben sich bereits als Aussteller angemeldet.
