5G EMF extrapolation function:
With the new 5G EMF extrapolation function, the maximum channel field strength can be extrapolated directly from a 5G traffic signal.
This is a significant improvement. It makes the currently necessary, very complex conversions from the base station antenna pattern and the consideration of the relative measurement position to the antenna superfluous. This reduces the practical measurement time to a few seconds.
It also minimizes the risk of errors that would result from the tolerances of the individual angle measurements for calculating the antenna pattern factor.
The maximum downstream power is queried using a suitable end device (e.g. Android smartphone).
The SignalShark 5G Analyzer records an isotropic spectrogram and calculates the average field strength of a 5G resource element as well as the extrapolated maximum channel field strength.
5G Smart Power Lock Test:
Smart Power Lock offers a very simple monitoring of the average transmit power of the base station.
The tool provides an automatic isotropic measurement of the channel power of a specific 5G channel over time and displays this value as a line graph.
The time interval with the highest average power is automatically detected and a moving average is calculated to verify the correct functioning of this feature.
