Das Nürnberger Software Unternehmen NCP engineering gibt offiziell bekannt, dass die Version 3.0 für den NCP Secure Entry Client zum neuen Apple Betriebssystem macOS High Sierra 10.13 kompatibel ist. Die Clients laufen somit ab OS X 10.10 Yosemite.

Die VPN Clients von NCP zeichnen sich durch ihre besonders einfache Bedienbarkeit aus und bieten wesentlich mehr Funktionalitäten und Features als andere VPN Clients. Dazu gehören beispielsweise eine IPv6-fähige dynamische Personal Firewall, Datenverschlüsselung (Encryption), starke Authentisierung, Multi-Zertifikatsunterstützung sowie Parametersperren. Brandneu ist die IKEv2 Unterstützung mit IKEv2 Redirect Funktionalität, welche im Einsatz mit Fremdgateways einen Load Balancing Mechanismus bereitstellt. Außerdem wurde die Benutzeroberfläche modernisiert und ein bei der Installation des Clients optional wählbarer FIPS Modus implementiert.
