Die NCP engineering GmbH hat die Funktionen des NCP Secure Enterprise Android VPN Client um neue Funktionen erweitert und bietet Unternehmen für den Roll-out eine unternehmensspezifische APK-Datei.

Der NCP Secure Enterprise Android VPN Client kann jetzt als „Android Package File“ (APK-Datei) mit kundenspezifischer Konfiguration bereitgestellt werden. APK-Dateien sind signierte Datenpakete um eine App auf einem Android-System zu installieren. Diese enthalten alle notwendigen Daten, damit die Anwender ganz einfach eine VPN-Verbindung von Ihren Android-Endgeräten aufbauen können. So wird es für Unternehmen noch einfacher Android-Tablets und
-Smartphones über ein zentrales Management in ein umfassendes Endpoint Security-Konzept zu integrieren.

Weiterhin unterstützt der VPN Client bei der PIN-Eingabe wahlweise eine rein numerische Tastatur. Die zentrale Verwaltung der VPN Clients, wie beispiels-weise User-Konfigurationen und Zertifikatsverteilung, erfolgt durch das NCP Secure Enterprise Management (SEM).

Ein großer Vorteil für Unternehmen ist aus organisatorisch, administrativer Sicht die einfache Beschaffung der NCP Secure Enterprise Android VPN Clients über die gewohnten Bezugswege im Channel.
