Die NCP engineering GmbH bringt ab sofort eine neue Version ihres IPsec VPN Client mit voller Windows 8.1-Unterstützung für den sicheren Fernzugriff auf Unternehmensdaten auf den Markt. Bei einem Umstieg auf das neue Microsoft Betriebssystem garantiert der Remote Access-Spezialist seinen Kunden somit Investitionsschutz beim Upgrade auf Windows 8. Zudem unterstützt der VPN Client in Version 9.32 IPv6 und eine Prüfung des Datendurchsatzes im VPN-Tunnel.

Bei den NCP VPN Clients handelt es sich um eine hochsichere Kommunikationssoftware für den Einsatz in beliebigen Remote Access VPN-Umgebungen. Neben Windows 8 unterstützt der Client noch Windows 7, Windows Vista und Windows XP. Für eine optimale Rückmeldung an die Anwender überprüft der VPN Client den Datendurchsatz im VPN-Tunnel und meldet somit automatisch instabilen Mobilfunk-Empfang. Außerdem verarbeitet der Client sowohl IPv4- als auch IPv6-Daten und ist damit zu allen marktüblichen VPN-Gateways kompatibel.

Im Gegensatz zu herkömmlichen IPsec VPN Clients verfügen die NCP Secure Clients zusätzlich zur IPsec VPN-Funktionalität über einen eigenen Dialer mit integrierter 3G/4G-Kartenunterstützung, ein WLAN-Verwaltungstool und eine Personal Firewall.
