The EDP awards are presented in various print categories every year. The independent selection committee consists of nominated print specialists from the industrial and digital printing sector as well as trade journalists and technical advisors. The committee members hand in their recommendations and suggestions, which are then evaluated by the EDP General Assembly who make the final selection. In 2012, a total of 18 winners representing products from a wide variety of categories, were delighted to receive the coveted trophy.
As Chris Cooke, Publishing Director of Image Reports (England) and President of the EDP Association, explained, the 2012 EDP awards were presented for products which were launched between March 2011 and February 2012.
In addition to Chris Cooke, the 2012 technical selection committee also included Juan Martorell (founder of ColorinLab Color Consulting), Romeo Hutter (Editor-in-Chief and Publisher/Switzerland), Herman Hartman (Editor-in-Chief Sign Pro Benelux), Steve Wicks (Managing Director Greenprint Consultancy Ltd.) and Lorenzo Villa (Print Consultants).
