NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) today announced that Don Valentine will not stand for reelection to the company's board of directors at the Annual Meeting of Shareholders in August 2010. Mr. Valentine has served as a member of the board since September 1994. He served as chairman of the board from September 1994 until March 2008. He is also a member of the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee.

NetApp and its shareholders have benefited greatly from his counsel in his16 years on the board."
During Mr. Valentine's tenure on the board of directors, NetApp has grown from a small, private company to a global industry leader with $3.9 billion in annual revenues and more than 8,000 employees worldwide.
