Die neueste Version von SnapVault, der Backup-Software von Festplatte auf Festplatte, sichert jetzt nicht nur Daten der NetApp eigenen Storage-Systeme auf den Nearline-Datenspeicher NearStore, sondern gewährleistet zudem die zuverlässige und schnelle Datensicherung von Plattformen anderer Anbieter. Bei einem Preis von knapp 0,01 Euro pro Megabyte können Unternehmen mit der neuen NearStore R150 lange geplante Disaster-Recovery-Pläne endlich in die Tat umsetzen. Der Nearline-Speicher mit einer Kapazität von 24 Terabyte pro Modul ist problemlos in bestehende Netzwerk-Infrastrukturen integrierbar. In Kombination mit SnapVault lässt sich der Backup-Prozess nicht nur beschleunigen, sondern auch extrem vereinfachen, da nur die, seit der vorherigen Sicherung veränderten Datenblöcke, übertragen und gespeichert werden.
