Efficient, effective and fast founding in the Machine Economy

(PresseBox) (Berlin, Germany, )
This year's HANNOVER MESSE (17.4.-21.4.2023) will focus on Industry 4.0 - the core theme of Next Big Thing AG, the Berlin-based Venture Studio for the Machine Economy. The NBT team will be on site with its own stand (Hall 14-15, Stand G48) and is looking forward to networking and inspiring conversations around the topics of Industry 4.0, Machine Economy, innovation and start-ups. After all, this is where challenges need to be tackled and potentially leveraged.

Ideas with a Great Future

Technologies create the basis for answers to the big questions of our time, from logistics and transport to production and infrastructure. This applies, for example, to the areas of automation and digitalization of industrial processes, the networking of machines, sensors, data and information. That's why Germany urgently needs new ideas from the machine economy - also to keep up with international competition, for example in the USA and Asia.

Raising the Potential of the Machine Economy

There is no shortage of ideas in Germany: according to NBT's experience, young founders, but also experienced industry experts with in-depth know-how, bring excellent approaches to the Machine Economy sector. Nevertheless, founding is a particular challenge here: it requires comparatively high initial investments, a long development period, and thus, the corresponding staying power on the part of the entrepreneurs. New technologies and the speed of the market bring additional pressure.

To the Prototype in Nine Months

NBT knows these issues, and therefore has the right tool to start up effectively and efficiently with its platform for the Machine Economy: It is a universal sensor module-based development platform for the IoT; it combines software and hardware with a product development process that focuses on added value, agile and fast implementation. With the industry-level rapid prototyping approach, use cases can be quickly implemented and modified. This makes it possible to offer the first marketable series product after nine months, which, fully integrated into the cloud, creates added value for customers via digital services and thus raises new business potential.

Incubation Program for Focused and Fast Results

This pace also succeeds because NBT has an accelerator in the form of the Visionaries Program. The Deep Tech incubation program offers a holistic approach to business model development: from idea to problem-solving through prototyping and testing, as well as first signed LOIs in just three months. NBT also supports using its network of founders, traditional companies, investors, tech experts and research partners to jointly generate the best market opportunities. The consistent focus on economic added value generates new revenue potential and the resilience of the business model. The overall system makes it possible to build an industry-ready end-to-end system with IoT faster than others via the Machine Economy platform and saves integration loops.
