NovaBACKUP protects data on single workstations and servers with local file backup, image DR, open file backup, integrated virus protection and online data protection. As first and only backup application, NovaBACKUP allows users to select independent NovaStor certified storage providers for online backup directly from the NovaBACKUP interface. The new update turns NovaBACKUP into a backup application that enables the central management of several online storage services from one single interface. NovaBACKUP provides a simple process to backup, copy or mirror data to different online storage providers from a central application.
High Speed and Security for Online Data Backup
With the new update NovaBACKUP protects user data with an end-to-end AES encryption from attacks during online transmission to NovaStor’s online storage partners. By encrypting and compressing data before it is transferred and keeping passwords safely on the users’ platform, NovaBACKUP does not allow potential intruders to decrypt backup data during transmission or at the offsite storage location. Online backup to integrated online storage providers also profits from high speed transmission using FastBIT technology.
With speed being (after security) the second crucial quality for a smooth online backup, NovaStor has increased backup and restore speed by another 30%. Users can also limit the bandwidth and CPU load they wish to dedicate to backing up data online. An improved scheduler allows scheduling jobs to the minute and a full overview over backup files and versions enables a point-in-time restore as required.
