ODU-MAC® PUSH-LOCK – a connector for easy handling.
Connectors are more than mere interfaces: The housing configuration, locking type and level of user-friendliness also play an important role. ODU has complemented its wide range of housings with the ODU-MAC® PUSH-LOCK, a dense, compact housing with push-pull locking. Customized hybrid connector faces can be implemented in a total of seven units. The ODU-MAC® PUSH-LOCK is characterized by its ergonomic one-hand operation, modularity and user-friendliness. The hybrid connector is suitable for signals, power, HF signals (coax), compressed air and fluid feed-through as well as data transmission – and it enables up to 5,000 mating cycles. Secure mating is ensured by the time-tested push-pull locking system along with six optional codings. This modular rectangular connector benefits from ODU’s decades of experience in push-pull circular connectors.
Hermetically sealed – ODU MINI-SNAP® receptacles
With the new and innovative hermetic receptacles of the ODU MINI-SNAP® series L, ODU is setting new standards for electrical interfaces in industrial electronics, medical technology as well as test and measurement applications requiring top tightness levels. Increasingly, this is no longer a mere question of preventing the ingress of dirt and water – under high ambient pressure, too – as hermetic tightness is also in rising demand. This may be the case when high levels of cleanliness are required, such as when a vacuum must be created in a sealed area. There are three levels of hermetic tightness quality: medium, high and ultra-high vacuum. Thanks to their glass potting (tested for a helium leakage rate of < 10-9 mbar l/s), the new ODU MINI-SNAP® receptacles not only meet the strict criteria for UHV-appropriate interfaces, but are also suitable for high-speed data transmission of up to 14.4 Gbit/s. Moreover, the hermetically tight receptacles are fully autoclavable for up to 500 cycles.
New high-voltage inserts for the ODU MEDI-SNAP®
The new high-voltage inserts for the ODU MEDI-SNAP® – in addition to providing reliable transmission of up to 1,000 V AC/16A according to IEC 60664-1 – enable the prevention of “hot plugging” thanks to a specific layout design and retarded contacts in the smallest of spaces (around 20 mm). Its contacts’ retarded signals enable the complete mating status to be characterized and a secondary deactivation installed. Thus, the pushing and pulling of these high-voltage connectors under load can be excluded, guaranteeing long-term functional and operational security.
