Das Projekt OpenOffice.org gibt heute die Verfügbarkeit der neuen Version 2.4.1 der freien Office-Suite bekannt. Dieses so genannte Bugfix-Release ohne neue Features beseitigt einige Fehler und ist ab sofort auf http://de.openoffice.org in deutscher Sprache erhältlich.

Die Release Notes stehen unter
http://development.openoffice.org/... in englischer Sprache bereit. Die Version 2.4.1 behebt ein potentielles Sicherheitsproblem. Auch wenn bislang kein Exploit für dieses Problem bekannt ist, empfehlen wir dennoch allen Nutzern, auf die neue Version umzusteigen.

Die nächste größere Version von OpenOffice.org, die auch mit neuen Features aufwartet, wird die Nummer 3.0 tragen und voraussichtlich im Herbst erscheinen.
