In Deutschland und Österreich werden zusammen pro Jahr etwa 10 Millionen Quadratmeter Dachflächen begrünt - glücklicherweise mit einer sehr geringen Fehlerquote. Dennoch ist jeder Fehler ein Fehler zu viel.

In dem Dachbegrünungs-Magazin DER DACHBEGRÜNER wurden in den Ausgaben 2008-2012 in der Rubrik "Schadensfälle" die am häufigsten vorkommenden Planungs- und Ausführungsfehler bei begrünten Dächern angesprochen. Die Optigrün international AG hat nun in dem Sonderheft "Schadensfallsammlung Dachbegrünung. Fehler erkennen - Fehler vermeiden - Richtig planen" diese Fälle zusammengefasst, um vor allem Planern und Ausführenden ein gesammeltes Nachschlagewerk zur Verfügung zu stellen.
