SAECO Germany place their trust in SINFOS B.I.P. - Coffee-machine manufacturer outsources EDI processes

(PresseBox) (Cologne, Germany, )
SAECO Deutschland GmbH, a subsidiary of the Italian coffee-machine manufacturer, has decided in favor of outsourcing its EDI business processes to SINFOS B.I.P.
SINFOS B.I.P. will also manage the rollout process for SAECO's business partners. The long-term goal of fully integrating their international partners was the key factor behind SAECO's decision.

SINFOS B.I.P., a joint venture of Pironet NDH and crossgate, is one of the leading German EDI service providers. They are to provide SAECO with EDI Full Service, which will supersede the existing EDI solution.
Using the Business Integration Platform, B.I.P., SAECO will henceforth be able to exchange data electronically with every one of its business partners in a wide range of different formats. By rendering paper-based processes obsolete and connecting all possible partners area-wide, this outsourcing solution leads to distinct cost-reduction potential. Furthermore the hitherto time-consuming co-ordination with business partners will no longer be necessary. An integrated monitoring tool enables SAECO to oversee and analyse all transactions and download incoming EDI messages.

The first business partners to use the SINFOS B.I.P. Business Integration Platform to exchange data electronically with SAECO Germany will be doing so already in December 2006. The successful implementation of the EDI solution relies on the tried-and-trusted technology, which has already proven its worth many times over, but also on a positive reception and high level of participation of the partners in question. This is why SAECO have opted to place rollout management in the hands of SINFOS B.I.P.: partners can be quickly and smoothly linked to the system, thereby exploiting the cost-saving potential of the new process to the full and simultaneously relieving SAECO employees of a heavy work burden.

Rainer Kohler, IT divisional director of SAECO Deutschland GmbH, comments on the decision: "Delivery of the full service from one single source was the decisive factor for us here, along with the opportunity to relieve ourselves of the burden of dealing with certain processes. We intend to implement this EDI solution on a constantly expanding basis, leading to even greater cost savings in the future.
The integration of international partners is also extremely important to us; in SINFOS B.I.P. we have found the best-possible partner for this venture."
