He was appointed to the Board and made CEO of the company by the Supervisory Board effective from 1st February 2012.
In the past two and a half years, building on his deep knowledge of the market, Horst Eckenberger has repositioned the company and has been instrumental in driving the integration of the foreign subsidiaries, GET in Belgium and DIGITEK in Spain. This will continue to be his focus going forward, in order to offer the some 5,000 customers around the world a uniform, end-to-end product portfolio.
The CEO will be concentrating on the tried-and-tested strategy, in order to continue the policy of positioning the company successfully in the market: hardware and software will be developed in-house as part of a continuous programme of further development and renewal. New technologies such as NFC will be taken into account during development and services such as as Installation, Maintenance and Support will be further expanded.
