PRO.FILE läuft unter Windows 8.1

Mit der Freigabe von PRO.FILE für Windows 8.1 ebnet PROCAD den Weg für den Einsatz seiner PLM-Lösungen auf den neusten technologischen Plattformen von Microsoft

Parallel zur Windows 8.1 Freigabe stellt PROCAD neue Integrationen für die Microsoft Office Serie 2013 vor. Diese neuen Integrationen wurden auf Basis der VSTO-Technologie entwickelt und bieten für Word, Excel und PowerPoint eine nahtlose Handhabung von Office Dokumenten. "Entwicklungsprozesse und Produktdatenmanagement ohne Dokumentenmanagement ist heute nicht mehr machbar" erklärt Karl-Heinz Gohl, Vertriebsleiter bei PROCAD. "Man denke dabei zum Beispiel an das Änderungsmanagement, bei dem Word-Dokumente mit Produktmerkmalen und anderen Variablen zu verknüpfen sind." Check-in, check-out, Versionsmanagement und Änderungsjournale gehören zu den Grundfunktionen. Ergänzt werden diese durch zahlreiche weitere Funktionen wie der Austausch von Inhalten der Office-Dokumente mit Merkmaldaten des PDM-Systems. Ein Automatismus stellt darüber hinaus sicher, dass für jedes Office-Dokument PDF/A-Kopien erzeugt und parallel zum Ursprungsformat versioniert werden können.
