Die Initiative Mittelstand und der Huber Verlag für Neue Medien haben Innovationspreise für moderne IT-Lösungen und Dienstleistungen vergeben. In der Kategorie Kundenmanagement wurde das Produkt e-Con von Watermark als eine der innovativsten und für den Mittelstand interessantesten Lösungen ausgezeichnet. E-Con ist ein webbasierter Vertriebs- und Produktkonfigurator, der mit den ERP-Systemen Microsoft Business Solutions-Axapta und -Navision vollständig integriert ist.

Die aktuelle Version 3.1 des Vertriebs- und Produktkonfigurators e-Con kombiniert das intelligente Regelwerk mit existierenden Geschäftsapplikationen. Es baut auf der .NET-Technologie von Microsoft auf. Eigene Mitarbeiter können auch mobil auf unternehmensweit vorhandenes Expertenwissen sowie auf Informationen zugreifen, um ihren Kunden schnell und zuverlässig ein individuelles Produkt- oder Serviceangebot zu unterbreiten. Das Tool wandelt Kundenwünsche, Expertise und Geschäftsinformationen in einwandfreie Angebote und Produktkonfigurationen um. Diese haben dann sogleich Auswirkungen auf CAD-Zeichnungen, Arbeitspläne, Stücklisten, Projektaktivitäten und Servicevereinbarungen. Durch die Integration kommt es zu weniger Bearbeitungsfehlern, Rückläufern und Nacharbeit. Die Lösung ist in Produktions-, Handels- und Serviceunternehmen im Einsatz, beispielsweise bei Maschinen- und Anlagenbauern, Herstellern von Ausrüstungsgütern, Bauzulieferern, speziell Fenster-, Türen- und Aufzugsherstellern, Elektronikfertigern und Möbelherstellern.
