profichip GmbH, a leading provider of semiconductor solutions for industrial control and communication, today announced the smallest PROFIBUS-DP Slave ASIC VPC3+S available in BGA48 package. This tiny, low-power ASIC features an additional serial interface (SPI or I2C), an integrated hardware PLL for Isochronous Bus Mode and is function compatible to the SPC3 (from Siemens) and the more popular VPC3+C (from profichip).
