Mit der neuen Version ist es möglich, alle Daten die auf externe Geräte gespeichert werden automatisch zu verschlüsseln, damit die Daten trotz eines möglichen Verlusts des Datenträgers geschützt sind. Das neue Server Clustering erlaubt die Installation mehrerer Management Server, die sich untereinander abgleichen und höchste Verfügbarkeit sowie Load-Balancing gewährleisten. Berechtigungen innerhalb der Management Konsole erlauben die exklusive Verwaltung von Netzwerkbereichen durch den jeweils zuständigen Administrator und damit differenzierte Sicherheitsrichtlinien z.B. pro Abteilung. Außerdem liefert Safend Protector gleich Policy Templates zur Einhaltung internationaler Standards wie HIPAA, SOX und PCI mit. Der neue Safend Reporter zeigt alle Client Aktivitäten proaktiv an und liefert Berichte, sowohl für das Management als auch für Administratoren.
