Everyday the Recommendation Engine of quelle.de analyses millions of data sets and reveals new interrelationships from the surfing and purchase behaviour of the customers. E.g., if a customer clicks at a product view or puts a selected product into the shopping basket, she gets appropriate recommendations of items. Thus, depending on the customer and buying situation, the Recommendation Engine creates suitable supplementary offers on the fly. The displayed recommendations result e.g. from the orders of other customers which have already bought corresponding products or have shown their interest.
The overall success of the e-commerce activities of quelle.de was recently revealed by a test* of performances and services of internet shops, provided by the trade journal "LOGISTIK inside". In comparison with five other online retailers the online shopping specialist from Fürth came in second. Especially, the services of Germanys leading web shops have been compared by the categories “customer service”, “web design/usability”, and “quality of delivery“.
