PTC ergänzt Onshape um Cloud-natives CAM

PTC (NASDAQ: PTC) ergänzt seine Produktentwicklungsplattform Onshape® um Cloud-native Computer-Aided-Manufacturing (CAM) -Funktionalität. Hierfür hat PTC die einzige Cloud-native CAM-Lösung der Branche CloudMilling™ übernommen.

CloudMilling wurde, genau wie Onshape, für die Cloud entwickelt und bietet Ingenieuren und Maschinenbauern eine zeitgemäße CAM-Lösung, die von jedem Gerät aus zugänglich ist.

CloudMilling bietet eine Reihe wichtiger, benutzerfreundlicher Funktionen für Maschinenbauer und Ingenieure, darunter:
  • 2-Achsen- und 5-Achsen-Werkzeugwege, die praktisch jede Aufgabe in Sekundenschnelle unterstützen,
  • eine vollständig integrierte Werkzeugbibliothek, die automatisch alle Werkzeuge von jedem Arbeitsbereich aus verfolgt, ohne dass zusätzliche Schritte erforderlich sind,
  • Echtzeit-Visualisierungsfunktionen zum Verfolgen von Werkzeugwegen und Bestandsänderungen sowie zum Überprüfen des Materialabtrags,
  • Arbeitsbereiche, die Hunderte von Teilen gleichzeitig bearbeiten können, jedes mit seinem eigenen Auftrag und den dazugehörenden Operationen.
Die CAM-Funktionalität von CloudMilling wird voraussichtlich Anfang 2023 direkt in Onshape verfügbar sein.
