Das System arbeitet mit Stimmerkennung, so dass sich Funktionen im Fahrzeug ohne Griff zum Handy bedienen lassen. In Toyota Entune bereits integriert sind mobile Apps wie Bing, iheartradio, Movietickets.com, OpenTable und Pandora, aber auch lokale Infodienste zu Verkehrslage, Börsenkursen, Wetter oder Sport. Weitere Features sind XM- und HD-Radio, CD-Player, USB für tragbare Mediaplayer und Bluetooth-Streaming. Etune ist - genau wie ein Handy - anpassungs- und ausbaufähig.
