Von Anfang an übernahm Marineau bei QNX Positionen mit zunehmender Verantwortung und avancierte vom Software Architect zum Director Operating System Group. 2007 verantwortete er die Einführung des QNX Hybrid-Software-Modells, das die Vorteile von Open Source und proprietären Software-Modellen kombiniert und den Durchbruch in der Embedded-Entwicklung markierte.
Marineau war erster Projektleiter des Eclipse C/C++ Development Tools (CDT) Projekts und leitete 2002 das Team der QNX Momentics Development Suite, die erste kommerzielle Eclipse-basierte IDE für die Embedded-Entwicklung. In seiner Rolle als Networking Architect bei QNX arbeitete er eng mit führenden Netzwerkunternehmen zusammen, um das QNX Neutrino RTOS für Anwendungen, von leistungsfähigen Routern bis hin zu kabellosen Base Stations, zu optimieren. Marineau leistete einen großen Beitrag zum QNX Technologie Portfolio, inklusive Multicore-Fähigkeiten, Adaptive OS Partitioning und Entwicklungstools.
