The Quest Trend Magazine records the trend as an average of the monthly production indices of the last 12 months published by the Federal Statistical Office.
In July, the production growth trend had still marked a new ten-year high. In August, however, the production index dropped to 83.8 index points down to the lower Bollinger Band. The Bollinger Bands comprise 67% of all deviations of production from the average of the last 12 months. Deviations in production remaining within the Bollinger Bands signal a normal situation and not a boom or crisis.
