For many customers the ICY BOX IB-MP3010 is finally the appropriate HDD network-recorder and media-player. For about Euro 125* they get what’s good and useful.
The recorder: you can record TV- and radio programs from sources like antenna, cable and set top-box or data from DVD or CD as well as record from your good old VHS player to a hard disk drive – even with time shift function. Anything you only want to playback without recording you can simply stream.
The player: from now on videos, music and photos have their spot on central stage like your TV-set, home entertainment centre or stereo. Kludge like camera-display, computer-screen or the earphones of the MP3-player belong to the past now.
Using a network you access shared media files and drives via Samba. With an HDD mounted the IB-MP3010 becomes the digital video recorder.
