Thanks to its advanced technology, it provides 14 additional ports for extra displays, USB peripherals, Gigabit Ethernet and SD cards over a single Thunderbolt™ 3 port.
Thunderbolt™ 3 has the double bandwidth of Thunderbolt™ 2 and combines data transfer, video output and power in one single, compact port. Thanks to the support of daisy-chain, up to six devices can be connected to one another and the integration of the independent plug orientation of Type-C™ has made the fast Thunderbolt™ 3 port even more practical - a true universal connection.
No driver is required to use the ICY BOX IB-DK2801-TB3, the DockingStation is simply connected per Plug & Play to a computer with a certified Thunderbolt™ 3 interface - sharp 4K resolutions and lightning-fast online access are possible! The included power supply provides a sufficient amount of power for the connected USB devices as well as the host computer.
"We are very happy about this award. The award proves that our DockingStations are at the cutting edge of design". Wen-Ping Chen, Managing Director RaidSonic Technology.
On July 8, 2019 RaidSonic will receive the desired award at the Red Dot Gala in Essen's Aalto Theater and then celebrate it at the Designers' Night Party in the Red Dot Design Museum.
About the Red Dot Design Award:
In order to appraise the diversity in the field of design in a professional manner, the award breaks down into three disciplines: The Red Dot Award: Product Design, Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design and Red Dot Award: Design Concept. Each competition is organized once every year. The products, communication projects as well as design concepts and prototypes entered in the competition are evaluated by the Red Dot Jury, which convenes once a year for each competition based on the individual specialist areas of the members. The laureates are celebrated at the Red Dot Gala award ceremony. The award-winning designs are presented in the Red Dot Design Museums, in the online presentation and in the Red Dot Design Yearbook for example.
