Photonfocus new Camera is the world fastest Camera-Link-Base Camera

CMOS-Camera for machine-vision, motion analysis, stereo- or quad vision-systems

(PresseBox) (München, )
Photonfocus is pleased to announce the new monochrome MV1-D1312-240-CL-8 camera, which to the best of our knowledge is the fastest CameraLink® Base camera in the world.
The new 1.4 Megapixel CMOS-camera MV1-D1312-240-CL-8 comes with a frame rate increase of +50% compared to the so far fastest MV1-D1312-160-CL-12 Camera-Link® Base camera. This means that the new camera is operating at the limits of possible frame rates achievable by a Camera-Link® Base camera. For a 1024 by 1024 resolution the frame rates breaks through the barrier of 200fps achieving 217fps just with a CameraLink® Base interface.

With the new MV1-D1313-240-CL-8 camera Photonfocus is able to expand the speed range of their Camera-Link® Base cameras thus being able to offer a price wise interesting solution for some applications that so far had to rely on Camera-Link® Medium/Full interface cameras.
The advantage of saving costs is even more significant where two or four Camera-Link® Full cameras are used as for example with stereo- or quad vision systems for motion analysis. Using the new MV1-D1313-240-CL-8 cameras not only saves costs on the camera side but as well on cabling and frame grabber. Two MV1-D1312-240-CL-8 cameras can be connected to one Camera-Link® Base frame grabber, rather than having to use two Camera-Link® Full frame grabbers. In a multi camera system the number of cables and frame grabbers halves.
