Some years ago Raynet introduced a state of the art preparatory work process for software packaging resulting in a drop of reject rates from above 20% down to less than 5%. The new RayEval 2.2 release does not only automate this process to a higher degree, but it delivers in almost a completely automated fashion, an immaculate documentation for all following processes. Concurrently it acts as a guideline and check routine for quality assurance test plans.
RayEval 2.2 enables an automated gathering of installation routines to be processed. Based on these routines, it creates a simple yet fast evaluation along with test documentation, screen shots and individual text amendments. The product is highly customizable and can be individualized e.g. by reusable templates. The ready-to-use documentation is not limited to RayEval alone, it can also be transferred into Microsoft WORD or ADOBE pdf-format. RayEval saves valuable time by avoiding double work and its results provide essential input for software packaging or quality assurance, e.g., with Raynet's products RayPack, RayQC, and RayFlow.
Furthermore, the documents resulting from RayEval can be used for manuals, organizational statements, handling descriptions, etc. - one tool, endless utilizations!

The new release of Raynet's rule-based quality assurance software RayQC is part of the complete RaySuite solution. Out of the box, the new sleek RaySuite design is readily visible. It is not just the surface that shines through; the latest release contains a brilliant bundle of powerful new features as well. All of them have a common purpose as they focus on the essential challenge of quality assurance: the prevention of errors, which sustainably and significantly reduce costs. With RayQC, quality gaps will be closed and the reject-rates will decrease to an absolute minimum in the area of software packaging. How does Raynet do this?
Here are the core features of RayQC 2.0:
New Interface Design
Raynet has always proved itself to be one of the rare international software companies with modern and vivid design approaches. Usability and responsiveness are not only the key components of our fundamental UI development guidelines. In fact, this RayQC release showcases the latest generation of the RaySuite product family, which follows our design doctrine of strict clarity, organization, and compelling view compositions.
Be our guest to dive into the vast ocean of functionality, share the fruits of our sophisticated engineering, and embrace all the benefits it offers for the efficiency of your everyday business goals.
Unified Resource Management
With the introduction of a unified resource management (URM), the previous RayQC checklist templates and the checklist projects have now been transformed into container files, which include predefined folders like plug-ins, help files, images, signatures, etc.
With this URM, each container carries along all necessary information for the editing and evaluation of rules and checklists.
Adding customized plug-ins allows users to experience a new level of flexibility. All resources are now effortlessly transported and can be transferred into other RayQC systems without having to attach them to an existing RayQC instance or feeding it again.
Plug-in-Interface
While internal and purchasable DLL Plug-ins are provided by the Raynet development team, external customer plug-ins can now be implemented by RayQC users using PowerShell, thus allowing full access to all system resources and information of a single checklist or a group of checklists. This enables the designers of control checklists to connect their own scripted logic with the intuitive RayQC surface and to integrate their proven test procedures with RayQC in a very convenient way.
Checklist Signing
With the possibility to sign checklist files, RayQC increases the level of security logically for rules of the tests, as well as, for software packages or other objects. Due to the applied techniques and certificate formats (X.509), this feature can easily be integrated in your company security concept, building upon existing CAs.
Creation and Management of Self-Defined Report Profiles
With RayQC 2.0, users create and manage report profiles, which preserve settings for different export formats (e.g., PDF, HTML, DOCX). Whilst the actual report content is generated on the fly and according to live checklist data, RayQC utilizes the custom profiles to ensure a continuous delivery of documents in compliance with the corporate identity of the workflow owner. Users may prepare as many profiles as needed and simply activate them individually per report export.
