- Two accolades for Rittal at leading IT publications’ readers’ choice awards
- 1st place in the Data Centre Monitoring and Management category for high availability
- 2nd place in Data Centre – Ready to Work category, for solutions that can be deployed rapidly
Winning monitoring solution for high availability
In the 2018 awards for ICT products of the year chosen by readers of Funkschau, RiZone from Rittal secured top place in the Data Centre Monitoring and Management category. The enterprise had already gathered accolades in this category in the two previous years on the strength of its CMC III monitoring system.
RiZone can be employed for all aspects of data-centre infrastructure, from the power supply, to cooling, to the security system. The DCIM platform can be quickly and easily configured, making it a suitable way of safeguarding the availability of facilities of all sizes.
Sven Laurösch, a member of the Rittal IT product management team, took receipt of the award in the picturesque surroundings of the Seehaus restaurant and event centre in Munich’s English Garden. As he himself stated: “Being consistently amongst the winners at the Funkschau readers’ choice awards despite strong competition is a sure sign of the great confidence readers and customers have in us.” It is the tenth time the ceremony has taken place in Bavaria’s capital – this year, following votes cast by more than 7,000 readers over a period of nine weeks, judging almost 350 products across 24 categories.
Gold for turnkey data centre solution
The readers of the seven “insider” online portals operated by Vogel IT-Medien placed Rittal in second place (gold) in the Date Centre – Ready to Work category. Upon receiving the accolade in Augsburg, Radek Stolar, Director of Business Development & Strategy, IT Global, said: “We are very pleased to receive this award. It is proof positive that our solutions fulfil customer requirements.” Rittal has already been recognized in these readers’ choice awards in the previous three years.
The platinum, gold and silver prizes in each category were presented by Vogel IT-Medien in October for the fourth occasion. The readers of the seven IT-focused portals submitted almost 36,000 votes for a total of 42 categories between April and August.
