Jürgen and Ines Rohmann founded Rohmann GmbH in 1977. In the same year, Jürgen Rohmann, managing director, creative mastermind of the company and developer, brought the “ROTOTEST” Eddy Current test instrument onto the market. Whilst the first test instrument was predominantly for serving the aviation industry, over the last 45 years Rohmann has become a specialist for non‑destructive testing. Today, the family‑owned business sells its products – test instruments and systems, rotors, probes, coils and cables amongst others – to renowned companies from a wide variety of different industries at home and abroad.

The standard of quality is high, corresponding to the vision of the company: We make life safer. Even nowadays, all products are of course made in Germany. The products are developed, manufactured and put onto the market from the headquarters in Frankenthal in the German Palatinate. The former two-person enterprise meanwhile employs 80 staff. More than 30 independent representatives sell the Eddy Current test instruments all over the world. Today, Petra Rohmann runs the company in the second generation.

In its anniversary year 2022, Rohmann GmbH for the first time presented their latest development in the range of hand-held Eddy Current test instruments at the Control in Stuttgart. The “ELOTEST M6” is a totally new generation of test instrument. The company combines innovative technology with a modern design, just like the company founder did.

The M6 has technical features, which are otherwise only to be found in inline systems. It is the first hand-held test instrument with harmonic wave analysis. It is provided with a 7 inch, 3-fold multi touch display, which can even be operated with gloves. The “Rohmann Accessory Bus”, a sensor bus for connecting intelligent sensors, rotors and array probes, is also new. The sales launch of the ELOTEST M6 is planned for the beginning of 2023.
