Die neue Sorte eignet sich von der mittleren Bearbeitung bis zum Schlichten von rostfreien Stählen sowie vom Schruppen bis zur mittleren Bearbeitung von hochwarmfesten Legierungen und Titan. Sie ist in einem umfassenden Programm für positive und negative ISO-Wendeplatten sowie in Toleranzklassen -M, -G und -E für scharfe Schneiden verfügbar; darüber hinaus auch als anwendungsbezogene CoroCut®-Wendeplatten für bessere Zugänglichkeit bei komplexen Luftfahrt-Bauteilen.
GC1115 ist eine weitere PVD-Sorte aus der „Green Light Production“-Sortenfamilie von Sandvik Coromant. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Gruppe von Schneidstoffen mit verbesserter Verschleißfestigkeit, die enge Bauteiltoleranzen in Verbindung mit höchster Produktionssicherheit bieten. Gemeinsam mit GC1125 und GC1105 steht GC1115 so für niedrigere Kosten und störungsfreie Bearbeitungsprozesse.
