Dr. Vishal Sikka, chief technology officer (CTO) of SAP, will present a keynote on "Demystifying the Cloud: An Application Perspective" at the Enterprise Cloud Summit, being held as part of Interop Las Vegas, May 18-19, 2009. The keynote will take place on Tuesday, May 19, at 1:00 p.m. PDT at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
As CTO, Sikka is responsible for leading SAP's design and development for emerging technologies. His keynote will describe the notion of "timeless software," which provides a blueprint for companies to help ensure that their enterprise software is current with the latest innovations-without the disruptions that release upgrades can cause. The design principles of timeless software will show attendees where the adoption of cloud computing is in enterprise software today, what some of its fundamental characteristics are, and how it will help define software for the next several generations of changes to come.
