The race team from Saxony, whose official name is Peugeot Motocycles SAXOPRINT, will line up with a new rider pairing in 2017. Alongside experienced Moto3™ rider Jakub Kornfeil (23) from the Czech Republic will be the 15-year-old youngster from Finland, Patrik Pulkkinen, in the official Peugeot Motocycles team.
Jakub Kornfeil has been part of the smallest class in the Motocross World Championships since 2010. He finished the 2016 season in eighth place overall. ‘We were looking for an experienced rider who could consistently achieve top ten results,’ says Florian Prüstel, team manager. ‘In Jakub, we have found this. Not only is he a consistent rider with extensive experience, he also secures podium finishes and victories for us.’
Patrik Pulkkinen is the new member of the team. The young Finn began 2016 competing in the Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup. ‘We’ve had our eye on this kid for quite some time,’ Florian Prüstel explains. ‘We tested him thoroughly in Aragon, and we were very impressed by how he performed. Alongside Jakub, he stands to learn a lot in the team and his talent and potential will have the opportunity to develop.’
For SAXOPRINT, the FIM Motocross World Championships is the perfect platform to showcase itself in its target markets as an international online printing company and thus improve recognition of the SAXOPRINT brand. It also represents the perfect image transfer – just like motorcycle racing, the printing industry also relies on innovative technologies. Maximum precision and speed are the key success parameters.
