At the 26th edition of the independent innovation competition TOP 100, Scheugenpflug AG for the first time made the leap among the best: On June 28, 2019, the specialist for adhesive bonding, dispensing and potting technology was honoured with the TOP 100 seal at the 6th German SME Summit. The award was presented by Ranga Yogeshwar, mentor of TOP 100, innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and compamedia. Using a scientific system, TOP 100 evaluates the innovation management and the resulting innovation successes of medium-sized companies. The award ceremony took place in the Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt.
From the garage to the world market
"We are very proud of this award, which also makes the innovative strength of our entire team publicly visible," explains Christian Ostermeier, Member of the Managing Board. "Scheugenpflug has developed enormously in recent years. We have created the internal structures to identify market trends at an early stage and to react accordingly. In addition, it is a central component of our corporate culture to promote personal responsibility and to give employees the opportunity to grow with the company".
Founded as a one-man business in a 36 m2 garage in Neustadt/Donau, Scheugenpflug has developed over time into an internationally active company with branches on three continents. The machine and system solutions for dispensing adhesives, thermally conductive pastes and potting resins are used in the automotive and electronics industries as well as in telecommunications, medical technology and energy supply. Currently there is a strong demand for dispensing solutions for the growing e-mobility market. A current innovation for this segment is a system solution for applying thermally conductive pastes to high-voltage batteries. In electric vehicles, they prevent excessive temperatures from causing damage to the battery cells and the vehicle.
