Due to its easily accessible location, the Soltau site offers a fast transport connection to the northern German sea ports. Schnellecke uses seaworthy packaging and loads these into overseas containers that are then loaded onto overseas container ships in the sea ports.
Volker Trinitowski, Schnellecke managing director, said, “We already took over the new building available for this purpose on 30 November and are currently in the middle of the detailed planning for the warehouse equipment and are preparing for the interviews in the first wave of recruitment. We are currently coordinating the detailed project planning with our customer. It has already been decided that the startup will take place in summer.
“We are working together closely with the local employment agency for the personnel recruitment. We need employees with logistics and/or industrial experience and with a job qualification that, in the best case, matches the respective job description,” Trinitowski explained. “Our new employees will bear a great responsibility in the handling of our customer’s products. For this reason, all candidates’ suitability will be tested in a demanding assessment at an assessment center, for example through simulated practical packaging processes, as well as concentration and team exercises.” Schnellecke will offer future employees in Soltau an attractive working environment in the automotive industry with performance-based pay, on-the-job qualification opportunities, as well as opportunities for professional further development.
