Das RTAB fördert den Tourismus in der lettischen Hauptstadt und vermarktet deren touristische Angebote im Ausland. Das Büro wurde im Oktober 2009 vom Rigaer Stadtrat, der Fluggesellschaft Air Baltic, der Lettischen Hotel- und Gaststätten-Vereinigung und der Lettischen Reisebüro-Vereinigung gegründet. Über das offizielle Tourismus-Portal www.liveriga.com erhalten Interessenten und Besucher umfangreiche Informationen über kulturelle Veranstaltungen, Unterhaltungsangebote, Sehenswürdigkeiten und Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten in Riga. Zu den Kommunikationsaufgaben von Schwartz PR gehört, die Hansestadt als attraktives Urlaubs- und Geschäftsreiseziel in Nordeuropa zu positionieren und über das touristische Angebot der Stadt zu informieren.
