- Benefizgala zugunsten des UNESCO Programms „Bildung für Kinder in Not“
Erstmals ist SEAT Deutschland in diesem Jahr Partner der UNESCO Charity-Gala und wird mit 27 komfortablen Alhambra Vans für den exklusiven Fahrdienst der zahlreichen prominenten Gäste aus Wirtschaft, Kultur, Politik, Sport, Film und Medien sorgen. So werden unter anderem die diesjährigen Preisträger des UNESCO „Children in Need“ Awards Pelé und Iris Berben im großen SEAT Van direkt zum roten Teppich chauffiert. Zudem stiftet SEAT den Hauptpreis der Tombola am 27. Oktober in Düsseldorf: einen fünftürigen SEAT Mii mit Klimaanlage, Soundpackage und Entertainment System im Wert von 10.800 Euro.
Alle Stars, Paten oder Schirmherren verzichten bei der Benefizgala auf ihre Gage. Die Spenden, die an diesem Abend gesammelt werden, fließen in die weltweite Projektarbeit des UNESCO Programms „Bildung für Kinder in Not“: Die Gala ist das Herzstück der Fundraisingaktionen zu Gunsten dieses UNESCO Programms, das die Ärmsten der Armen unterstützt – die Kinder.
Dieses UNESCO Sonderprogramm leistet für Kinder und Jugendliche in ehemaligen Kriegs- und Krisengebieten und dort, wo extreme Armut herrscht, Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe. Es setzt sich ein für die Integration von Straßenkindern und die Betreuung von geistig und körperlich behinderten Kindern. Mit dem Bau von Schulen, der Möglichkeit zur Berufsausbildung und qualifizierter Betreuung schafft das Programm für hunderttausende Kinder bessere Lebensbedingungen und Perspektiven für ein Leben mit Zukunft. „Bildung für Kinder in Not“ wurde von UNESCO-Sonderbotschafterin Dr. h.c. Ute- Henriette Ohoven ins Leben gerufen.
