The new features are already available on the marketplace and make the use of SecondSol more straightforward for users. In future, buyers will be able to see the contact details of the seller in the advertisements, and sellers will now be able to choose the currencies in which they want to sell the item in addition to price scaling.
New payment model for commercial sellers
For private users and commercial buyers, the use of the marketplace will be free of charge in the future. Commercial sellers, however, must purchase one of three possible ad packages. In addition to the Basic Package, sellers can also use the Standard Package and a Premium Package. A sales commission, as was previously customary on SecondSol, will be eliminated in the future.
Enquiries instead of legally binding Buy
With the changeover, the previous “legally binding purchase” of products is no longer required. Instead, users can now communicate openly.
Stefan Wippich, Managing Director of SecondSol explains: “With the introduction of the new ad packages and the visible contact details, we are responding to the frequently expressed wishes of our users. At the same time, we see that the sale of photovoltaic products requires a certain amount of communication. The ability to communicate more easily and faster offers both buyers and sellers more security. The fact that from now on you can request products on SecondSol and do not have to purchase them legally binding, benefits above all users who want to purchase items. But SecondSol remains true to itself – the focus is still on combining supply and demand.”
