Der Jahreskongress, der vom 02. bis zum 05. Mai 2006 im Hotel Kurhaus in Bad Homburg stattfindet, widmet sich auch in diesem Jahr aktuellen Problemen und technischen Neuerungen im Bereich der IT-Sicherheit.
Als Plattform für den Informationsaustausch zwischen Unternehmen der IT-Industrie, Anwendern und Teilnehmern aus Wissenschaft und Forschung vermittelt der Kongress in drei parallelen Fachwelten und einer Fachausstellung fundiertes Wissen zu den Themenbereichen Sicherheit in neuen IT-Technologien, Normen und Standards der IT-Sicherheit sowie Sicherheit und Recht.

Der Vortrag von Steinhauser beleuchtet die Vorteile, die eine Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Plattform gegenüber einer Public-Key-Infrastruktur bietet und zeigt anhand von Beispielen, wie die Sicherheit in einer P2P Umgebung umgesetzt wird. Unter anderem wird anhand des Roll-Outs in einem Großunternehmen dargestellt, wie sich die Umsetzung der HaloCore™ Technologie in die Praxis realisieren lässt.
Der Vortrag „HaloCore™: eine revolutionäre Peer-to-Peer Sicherheitsplattform“ findet am 04. Mai 2006 von 10.30 Uhr bis 11.30 Uhr in der Fachwelt D „Internet Sicherheit“ statt.
