Version 7.1.2 Service Pack 5 erhöht jetzt die Geschwindigkeit bei der Initialverschlüsselung und bei Lese- und Schreib- Zugriffen auf die Festplatte. Dazu wurde ein in Assembler Code auf Geschwindigkeit optimierter AES Algorithmus eingebunden. Der professionelle Schutz der Unternehmensdaten wird damit ohne spürbare Leistungseinbußen gewährleistet.
Des Weiteren unterstützt SECUDE secure notebook 7.1.2 SP 5 jetzt den Festplatten Datenbus Standard Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA). Dieser Standard kommt in zukünftigen Notebook-Generationen zum Einsatz und ermöglicht unter anderem höhere Datentransferraten. Damit ist SECUDE secure notebook auch für den Einsatz in kommenden Notebook-Serien geeignet.
Ein erweiterter Nutzen des Sicherheitsproduktes im Unternehmensumfeld ergibt sich ferner durch die Möglichkeit, SECUDE secure notebook neben Notebooks auch auf Desktop-Rechnern einzusetzen. Dazu unterstützt Version 7.1.2 SP 5 jetzt externe Mäuse und Tastaturen, die über USB angeschlossen sind. Darüber hinaus ist durch die Unterstützung dieser Peripheriegeräte auch die Authentisierung in einer Docking-Station komfortabler.
Professionelle Erweiterungsoptionen
SECUDE secure notebook 7.1.2 Service Pack 5 enthält die bewährten Komponenten SECUDE Secure Boot System (SBS) und Secure Boot System Help Desk. Mit SBS wird das Sicherheitsniveau zusätzlich um eine smartkartenbasierte Authentisierung vor dem Booten des Betriebssystems erhöht. Das Secure Boot System Help Desk bietet zahlreiche Notfallfunktionen und unterstützt Nutzer dabei, die Arbeit in Fällen wie einer verlorenen oder vergessenen Smartkarte oder eines Smartkarten- PIN schnell wieder fortzusetzen.
