Ukraine: Presence with the Help of ua-Domains

Google.com.ua and Ukrainian search engines prefer websites with ua-Domains - the domains of Ukraine. So, if you have something to say to Ukrainians, you should build websites with ua-Domains.

It is common and recommended registering under the official subdomain com.ua.

In addition, there are a number of other official subdomains:
  • net.ua network service providers
  • org.ua - other organizations (non-commercial)
  • in.ua - domains for individuals
There is a regional domain for each region. For example for Kiev: kiev.ua

Certain subdomains such as edu.ua cannot be freely registered.

If you have a Ukrainian or international trademark that is valid in Ukraine, you can also register directly under .ua.

The Ukrainian registry introduced, among other things, domains with Cyrillic letters - at the com.ua-domain and the kiev.ua-domain.
