Seica's Legacy Replacement Program -
While vintage ATE systems fade away, Seica's legacy ATE replacement solution retains the investment on a Seica Valid state-of-the-art platform. Seica has invested many man-years in creating migration tools necessary to take old programs and fixtures from major ATE companies and migrating them to Seica's state-of-the-art test Valid platform. Legacy ATE equipment which can be migrated include systems such as:

- Fault Finder 101, 303
- Factron 7XX series
- Teradyne L200, L300, LASAR Simulation, Z18XX series

Seica can supply software and hardware migration tools for outdated systems, taking advantage of emulation and advanced translation software techniques, including go-no-go, guided probe and fault dictionary diagnostic operations.
This means a longer life cycle for systems, considerable costs savings and further re-use of existing fixtures and programs. Seica's migration experience doesn't stop with outdated systems. They currently have a variety of converters available to migrate some of today's existing ATEs' as well.

Based on Seica's proprietary VIVA Integrated Platform (VIP?) core hardware and software, the AERIAL M4 Flying Probe test system will be on stage at Autotestcon Salt Lake City. Designed with today's industry demands very much in mind, AERIAL's simple programming and operation mean it can be operated by specialist and non-specialist test personnel alike as part of a highly cost-effective test strategy.
The AERIAL M4 is the solution for those who seek the highest flexibility from a flying probe tester, from production test to repair, all the way to reverse engineering.
The Aerial M4 has a vertical architecture with two flying test probes on each side, two additional Openfix probes and two cameras (one on each side respectively). This configuration allows the Aerial M4 to perform true in-circuit tests, giving full access even to boards that do not have all the test points on one side only, and the capability to place guarding points as well as use all of the vectorless test techniques for ICs, with or without powering up the UUT.
With probes and cameras on both sides of the UUT, the Aerial M4 is ideal for rebuilding the board netlist: the system can acquire the images of components, pads and test pointcoordinates. This enables the complete reverse engineering of the board, rebuilding the electrical schematics or even the CAD data of a product which has no design and/or manufacturing documentation.
Through the VIP environment, the system is also fully compatible with Seica's PILOT Flying Probe, and its STRATEGY In-circuit and VALID Functional testers, making AERIAL even more versatile. All of this is packed into a compact yet easy-to-load system that, depending on the model, can accommodate large boards up to 24" x 24" in size.
Seica in the Military / Defense Sector
Seica's dedicated attention to the specific product and support requirements of the mil-aero market should be emphasized. Though mil-aero customers deploy the same test techniques used in commercial applications, their requirements at the prototype, production, and field/depot maintenance steps are more rigid and span over a larger spread of technology and longer product life cycles.
The company started out developing in-circuit test equipment for OEM's in civilian industries. However, it has since refined and developed innovative and visionary solutions to match the requirements of defense and aerospace manufacturing, where stringent standards for product quality, reliability and support are contractual.
Seica has significantly contributed to test development of LRU, SRU, CCAs programs and fixtures for the Tornado, AMX, EFA2000, F/A 18 and other major military programs acquiring a unique experience on a variety of languages (ATLAS, C++, and tester specific,).
