Die Komponenten der IR-BlocTM Familie sind die einzigen Umgebungslichtsensoren auf dem Markt, welche in einem kostengünstigen Epoxygehäuse mit integrierter IR-Filterfunktion erhältlich sind. Da das spektrale Ansprechvermögen vergleichbar mit dem menschlichen Auge und einer Fotozelle ist, eignet sich die IR-BlocTM Familie hervorragend für Applikationen, in denen das Ansprechvermögen auf das sichtbare Licht beschränkt sein soll.
Als Teil der IR-BlocTM Familie basiert der Umgebungslichtsensor VTP9812FH auf einer planaren PN-Siliziumfotodiode im flachen T-1 ¾-Standardgehäuse, die Sensoren VTT9812FH und VTT9814FH bestehen aus einem Silizium-Fototransistor. Alle Komponenten bieten neben dem bewährten VTP Silizium-Fotodiodenchip bzw. VTT Silizium-Fototransistorchip eine zusätzliche, im Epoxygehäuse integrierte IR-Filterfunktion. Daraus ergibt sich eine exzellente Empfindlichkeit im sichtbaren Spektralbereich.
Die Umgebungslichtsensoren der IR-BlocTM Familie stellen eine gute RoHS-konforme Alternative für Cadmiumsulfid-Fotozellen dar.
