Avnet Silica, an Avnet company (NASDAQ: AVT), today announced the signing of an agreement to add the products and technologies of SiTime to its portfolio of silicon timing products. The distribution deal extends a previous agreement between SiTime and Avnet in the US and Asia to cover the EMEA region forming a global relationship.
SiTime is the market leader in offering MEMS-based precision timing solutions that target a $10B total timing market by 2024. SiTime solutions are used by 15,000 customers in 250 applications, with over 2 billion units shipped globally. The SiTime product offering includes a wide portfolio of devices such as oscillators, clock generators and resonators.
The SiTime devices are highly programmable solutions that enable customers to differentiate their products with higher performance, smaller size, lower power and better reliability. In addition, the company’s technology delivers industry-leading dynamic performance in harsh environments that have high shock, vibration, or rapid changes in temperature. Such environments are routinely encountered in industrial, automotive or aerospace applications.
